The architecture of Travers Horse Facility was inspired by its beautiful surroundings. The design of the building focusses on seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces. To create the perfect setting for showjumpers and their horses to train and prepare for international shows that are frequently held in the vicinity. The accommodation of Travers Horse Facility provides a spacious, comfortable and pleasant living and working environment.
For the horses we have created large and bright stables built of strong and durable materials, providing excellent airflow and isolation in warm and cold weather circumstances. To ensure that each horse will have the chance to get in the paddock on a daily basis our accommodation includes 28 paddocks. To stimulate and maintain the sport horses’ mind and body there are also two 4-horse walkers and two lunging pens to use freely. Furthermore, the 45 x 90 meter outdoor (jumping)arena and 60×30 meter indoor arena, plus our grass arena provide optimal space to train and educate your horse. To add to this there is also a 2-meter wide canter track with grass footing next to our facility. Providing direct access to the nearby forest and the enormous show grounds of Peelbergen Equestrian Centre.
In addition to the luxury housing for the horses, Travers Horse Facility also has 14 apartments to rent for riders, grooms or other guests. Centrally located between the two stable area’s is the inviting and comfortable social area that serves as a meeting point. Here all of our guests can use the fully equipped kitchen, bar, terrace and meeting rooms. To enjoy a coffee or a drink, meet up with trainers or clients or simply sit comfortably while looking out over the indoor and outdoor arena. The social area features all the amenities that make spending time with each other and sharing the joint passion of horses even more enjoyable.
Travers Horse Facility is located in the south of the Netherlands, in the centre of the equestrian world. The location offers an extensive network of international competition venues, such as Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen within walking distance and Sentower Park (Opglabbeek, Belgium) is 60 km away. There is easy access to main roads and the airports of Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Aachen are conveniently located for international travels.
Travers Horse Facility lends its name from the street on which it is located. The definition of Travers is ‘Something that intersects and connects’. Our goal is therefore based on the idea to create opportunities for likeminded people to connect. To share their passion for horses and their knowledge, to learn from each other and develop lasting partnerships.
Travers also means ‘Travelling through an area’. Something that all equestrians devote their time to, because the path to success takes them all over the world.
